Introduction

The RP-6 controller is designed for the RatPak antenna switch and offers the simplicity of pushbutton operation. The controller is compatible with the MD-12 decoder thus providing automatic antenna selection for each band. The RP-6 has a USB connection that allows for full control from software and also gives full access to all devices on the ShackLAN network.

Installation

Switch and Power connections

Connecting the RP-6 Controller to the antenna switch is done via the 7-pin connector on the rear panel. Attach a control cable from the controller connections to the corresponding terminals on the RatPak switch. A 12 volt power source may be connected to either the 2.1mm power jack (center pin positive) or from another ShackLan device via the network connector.

Operation

Operation of the RP-6 is very simple. Press the button for the desired antenna or press the Auto button for automatic antenna selection from the MD-12 decoder, if installed.
